And a poll widget makes polling your website visitors a snap.
  • Publishing Change Log
Professional and Enterprise plan users now have the option of automatically publishing a change log file to their hosting server. This is most useful for situations where an intermediate staging server is Tweak's initial publishing destination and where only modified files need to be migrated to a production environment.

July 9, 2007 (v4.6)

  • Upgraded Database Servers
New hardware for the CMS database tested out at 4 times faster than the old hardware! Speed, scalability, reliability, and overall likeability should all be improved in a big way!
  • Query Optimization
Since we were making some upgrades to the backend we took time to optimize a few important database queries. In addition to some performance gains, the backend structure is noticeably improved and will help make future upgrades easier.
  • MySQL Conversion
Don't ask why, but our database has been SQL Server up to this point. We've been dying to convert to MySQL but have only recently been able to take a break from feature development to do this critical conversion. We're proud to say Tweak now runs entirely on the LAMP open source stack!
  • Bug Fixes
We also fixed these 3 small bugs. The nav title will now show up in the crumbtrail if used in your template. The system files publishing bug is fixed. And the template importing process no longer includes an empty UL where no navigation items are actually present (to aid in validation).

May 24, 2007 (v4.5.6)

  • Revamped Editor Architecture
The CMS now has a streamlined, improved editor architecture which will result in a speedier, more reliable, more extensible editor experience. We're still working on this so there will be more to come!
  • Automatic Code Output Formatting
We created a great feature that will automatically format your website code when you publish. Indenting is included so that your code looks beautiful! This feature can be turned on or off on the Publish Settings page.

The framework for a contextual help system has been setup and future releases will include help files for specific pages within the CMS. Contextual help will ensure that only the relevant help information is shown for a given task in the CMS.
  • Streamlined Login Process
Login now takes a fraction of the time it used to. The editor preloading is now done when the user first enters preview editing mode, rather than at login.
  • Template Apply Bug Fix

We've updated the WYSIWYG editor and in the process resolved the memory leak issue.
  • Zip Uploads to System Files
When uploading a zip file to an asset library, the contents are usually extracted and added to the asset library. The 'System File' library now leaves the zip file intact and adds the zip file as a whole to the library.
  • Page Title Bug Fix
There was a bug with the page title in certain situations that is now fixed.
  • Publishing Bug Fix
Publishing would fail under a specific situation. This is now fixed.

We've improved our RSS support to include the following:
    • An RSS icon on feed pages in the Interactive Sitemap
    • All subpages are now included in a feed, not just the first level of subpages
    • A checkbox to remove pages from the feed if desired
  • Template Importing Error Handling
Tweak now shows informative error messages when you experience an error while uploading or editing a template file. This should help a ton for diagnosing tag mismatches and other code problems.
  • Updated Editor
We've updated the WYSIWYG editor and in the process resolved the issue with the newest JRE version (1.6). Our update also improves support for Firefox in OS X.

April 19, 2007 (v4.5.2)

  • Page Publishing Bug Fix
New Tweak sites were occasionally experiencing a bug wherein certain pages appeared to be modified even after they were published. We fixed the problem.
  • RSS Feeds
We've finally added support for RSS feeds! We've been dying to get this into a build for a long time so we're pretty happy to announce it's done. RSS feeds will be available on Tweak sites using the Basic plan or above.
  • Faster Page Re-ordering
We made some big improvements to the page re-ordering algorithm. Clicking the Move Page Up or Move Page Down icons in the Interactive Sitemap should be noticeably snappier now.
  • More Value in Advanced SEO Feature
For those on the Basic plan, the Advanced SEO features just got better! We now offer the ability to use different titles in the browser, navigation, and the page body. This is helpful for SEO purposes as well as situations where a lengthy page title is desirable for the browser title but a shorter version is desirable for the navigation.

The new Interactive Sitemap features expanding and collapsing options. The sitemap loads much more quickly now and tasks like re-ordering pages happen without a page refresh.

We did some optimizing and tuning to the editor to make it perform better.

  • My Profile Page
The page formerly called "My Account" which was located under the "Administration menu option is now up near your username and is called "My Profile."
  • System Files Moved
We moved the System Files menu option over under the "Manage Content > Assets" menu option. Seemed to make more sense to group it with the other asset libraries.
  • This Page!
Probably goes without saying but this page is new! We want to keep you more informed of all of the exciting new features we're consistently building into the CMS.
